Martin Dolan is an amateur landscape photographer based on the Dorset/Hampshire border and has a passion for good light and capturing his favourite places bathed in it. He can often be found along The Jurassic Coast, The New Forest and anywhere in between with his camera.

Martin is currently using a Sony A7R 3 with a combination of Canon and Sigma lenses and is a big fan of the use of filters. He is currently using the KASE Filter products.

When not driving trains for a living, Martin's time is devoted to his wife and their 3 daughters with their youngest a mere 4 months old.

Martin has enjoyed some wonderful experiences behind the camera over the last 5 years with success and recognition in various areas of the photographic world and beyond but he made the conscious decision to swap chasing light for changing nappies in early 2021.

It has to be said that enjoying the precious moments with his children as they grow up is an experience worth a million photographs.

Martin intends to continue growing as photographer when he can devote more of his time with plans to continue honing his craft and  exploring the county he proudly calls home - Dorset.

Martin hopes that when viewing his work you feel something, a connection with the landscape perhaps or maybe experience a rekindling of a childhood memory from holidays here growing up as a child.

A photo can instantly transport us to a time in our lives and the medium of still photography has given Martin so much more of an understanding of the world we all live in.
